Hoping to Adopt?
I've been there! I'm Lindsay, a two time adoptive mother with seven years of social media marketing experience, who has always been passionate about adoption. After matching with my oldest son's bio mom on Facebook, I set out to help other hopeful adoptive parents (HAPs) use social media to match. Facebook played a large role in our second adoption as well and I'm excited to have the opportunity to help others navigate this space. If you're interested in pursuing private adoption, or just want to learn more about it, you've come to the right place!
All about me
My passion for adoption stems from a family-focused upbringing, and truthfully, a calling that the Lord put on my heart at a young age. For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to adopt a child and when I was dating my husband, this was something we discussed and agreed to pursue if/when we got married.
Fast forward to about 7 months after our wedding, we started discussing adoption and when might be the right time. A lot of research went into learning about the types of adoption and which might be best for our family. Because much of what we found indicated that adoption can take a while, we decided we were ready to get started and took the first steps toward pursuing a private, domestic adoption.
We started a Facebook and Instagram page for our adoption matching efforts on January 1, 2022 and set up a consultation with an adoption attorney for later that month. In early July, our son's bio mom reached out to us, and by November, only one year after we started discussing adoption, we had our precious son in our arms.
Less than a year later, we were posting that we were open to another match, and were connected via word of mouth to the bio parents of our second son. All of the information on our Facebook page helped them and their families learn more about us quickly. That was important because we connected only three weeks before his due date!
Now I am spending every day loving my boys, promoting adoption, and helping other hopeful adoptive parents grow their families as well. Check out some private matching resources in my Etsy shop!
